Just catching my breath after Thursday's incredible Fashion's Night Out. Met up with a great friend and fellow blogger(eightlondon.blogspot.com) at Topshop to grab our t-shirts. Overwhelmed by the madness of Oxford Circus, we headed to a more civilised Bond Street to hit the high fashion houses. We checked out Burberry, Mulberry, Longchamp, Emporio Armani and Yves Saint Laurent. Then over to Chanel, and upstairs to watch Laura Bailey and Erin O'Connor in a photo shoot, follwed by an enchantingly smouldering Daisy Lowe. She was seriously capturing her audience in a way the other two models hadn't managed; with her amazing poses and presence. The 5 language speaking perfectly poised Chanel PR girls got a bit arsey with the crowd for taking pictures, but I managed to sneak a pretty poor shot:
At half nine we snuck off to meet 3 more girlfriends at Nobu Berkeley for a delicious end to the evening. Fashion's Night Out rocks!
Received some fantastic news on Friday courtesy of Hubert at the Yves Saint Laurent, Bond Street store. Whilst at the FNO in-store event at YSL, my friends and I filled out a postcard of our names and contact details for a chance to win a handbag. I did not know which bag, and was full of cynicism thinking there wouldn't be a winner, and I would surely be plagued by YSL spam for the rest of my living days. Low and behold, I won it! I thought it would be old season, maybe a dodgy colour or perhaps an unpractical evening clutch you can't fit anything in. No no my friends I won a gorgeously simple matte black leather, new season 'Roady' tote! Went down to Bond St on Saturday with my boyfriend with a to pick it up, needless to say it made my weekend. And it's beautiful, so discreet and chic and anonymous and perfect for everyday. Moral of the story folks - enter every available competition - you never know.
