KISS ME KATE

After a magical trip to Los Angeles, Coachella music festival and Las Vegas, reality in London hit me hard. Thankfully a long weekend came to my rescue thanks to this years hotly anticipated royal wedding. The marriage of Prince William to Kate Middleton (the commoner) was literally a modern day fairy-tale and for someone who has never felt anything for the Royal family I found myself completely immersed in Wedding Fever, and felt for once quite patriotic and certainly proud to be a Londoner! To make it feel that bit more special I turned 24 the same day, so their was a wonderful sense of jubilation in the air! Of course Kate Middleton wore THAT dress by Sarah Burton for ALexander McQueen. Kate's wedding dress was a stunning confection, absolutely perfect for her as an individual, for a state occasion and for now as a time. As currently probably the most famous dress in the world, its design has immeasurably raised Sarah Burton's profile and solidified her place not only as McQueen's very worthy predecessor but as a name to be reckoned with in British fashion. LONG LIVE THE QUEEN!!
