The bride wore Giambattista

Margherita Missoni, darling of the Italian fashion dynasty got hitched in a beautifully bohemian, yet subtly star-studded rural Italian ceremony a few weeks ago. She wed her beau; racing car driver Eugenio Amos in a very romantic summery setting. As her wedding dress was not made by her family it seemed only right that the al fresco decor was bedecked in Missoni's infamous colours, chevrons and stripes. Her dress was designed by close friend Giambattista Valli, a unique Medieval style confection with puffy sleeves and a gypsy feel, she wore flat sandals and a beautiful hairband to complete the look. My only criticism was that her groom wore traditional tails, I think it would have been more in keeping with the occasion if he had worn something more relaxed to match his bride. The well- attended wedding was a who's-who of fashion royalty including Anna Dello Russo, Charlotte (Olympia) Dellal, Mark Ronson and Josephine de la Baume.
